Charlton holiday (aka training camp)

So the boys have gone off to Spain for a while for a “Spanish boot camp”.  Lucky them.  The good news is that DB and Lukey Young are back and seem to be making good progress.  Let’s hope they get fit and focused in time for our big clashes against The Hammers & Watford.  The fact that these two are back must be a boost for the rest of the team as well.  I mean if you see arguably two of your best players coming back and playing with passion and intensity then it must be a moral booster.

So do I think that Charlton are going down this season?  I’d like to say no but odds really are stacked against us.  Our fate is not just in our hands.  We need the other teams down the bottom to struggle while we excel.  We need Wigan and possibly Sheffield to be sucked into the relegation battle, otherwise it’s game over.  Which would be a shame as the new £600m international TV deal is coming next season.  It’d be just our luck to miss out on that….
