101 Books To Read Before You Die
A year or so ago Ottakers (now owned by Waterstones) did a promotion about 101 books to read before you die. I found the list on the internet the other day and have read 16, which isn’t that great. I want to get it up to 50 by the end of the year. I’m ploughing through Crime & Punishment at the moment and absolutely loving it, next up is Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. There are some dubious entries in there (it was compiled by their shop staff) but all I can say is that I’m glad War & Peace isn’t on there.
